Egri Csillag Hét 2022.10-17.

 

Először rendezik meg az Egri Csillag Hetet

2022. március 10. és 17. között első alkalommal vehetnek részt a borkedvelők az Egri Csillag Héten. A tematikus hét célja, hogy felhívja a figyelmet az Egri borvidék meghatározó fehérborára. Bonthatunk egy palack egri csillagot otthon, részt vehetünk az országosan szervezett kóstolók valamelyikén, vagy éppen kérhetünk a csatlakozó éttermek egyikében egy csillaghoz párosított fogást.

Az esemény időzítése több szempontból is ideális. Az egri csillagot gyakran nevezik a borvidéken a tavasz borának. Egyrészt mert hagyományosan ebben az időszakban mutatják be belőle az új évjáratot, másrészt a legismertebb egri csillag kategóriának számító classicus borok frissessége, könnyedsége, valamint gyümölcsöket, virágokat idéző aromái igazán jól illenek a tavaszhoz.

Erre a hangulatra épít Eger egyik legismertebb étterme, a Macok Bisztró is. Szternák Péter étteremvezető örömmel csatlakozott az új kezdeményezéshez: „Minden évben az egri csillagokkal állnak elő először a helyi borászok a tavaszi rügyfakadás időszakában. A friss zöldségekkel, salátákkal, a szezonális spárgával kínált fogások, pl. halak, könnyebb sajtok, csirkehúsok tökéletes összhangban állnak ezzel a bortípussal. Így a Macokban is kiemelt ajánlattal készülünk az Egri Csillag Hétre, több pincészet egri csillag borához illő fogások kerülnek majd az étlapra.”

Tóth Katalin, a Tóth Ferenc Pincészet képviseletében így gondol az egri csillagra: „Kevés olyan borvidék van, ahol kiváló fehér és vörös házasításokat lehet készíteni. Eger ilyen. Fontosnak tartom, hogy az egri csillagon keresztül megmutassuk Eger kiváló fehérboros adottságait.”

Az első év egy rendezvénysorozat életében mindig különösen izgalmas, hiszen mind a programok szervezői, mind a résztvevők ekkor ismerik meg a rendezvény koncepcióját. Ígéretes jövőt jósol azonban, hogy az Egri Csillag Hét meghirdetése után rögtön sokan csatlakoztak a projekthez. Sok helyen lesz premiere az új évjáratoknak, jó néhány étteremben kínálnak pohárral egri csillagot, borkereskedések állítanak össze egri csillag borokból csomagokat, és maguk a pincészetek is számtalan kóstolási, vásárlási lehetőséget vonultatnak fel.

Don’t miss out on the first ever Egri Csillag Week

The first edition of the Egri Csillag Week is due to take place between 10 and 17 March 2022. The aim of the thematic week is to raise awareness of the leading white wine of the Eger wine region. You can open a bottle of Egri Csillag at home, take part in one of the nationally organised tastings or ask for a dish that matches Egri Csillag in one of the participating restaurants.

The timing of the event is ideal for several reasons. In the wine region Egri Csillag is often called the wine of spring. On the one hand, it is traditionally the time when the new vintage is presented, on the other hand, the freshness, the lightness, the aromas of fruit and flowers typical of the classicus wines - the best-known category for Egri Csillags -, make them the perfect match for spring.

One of Eger's best-known restaurants, Macok Bistro, has also been inspired by this spirit. Restaurant manager Péter Szternák was delighted to join the new initiative: „Each year local winemakers release Egri Csillags first during the period when the first buds break in spring. The dishes served with fresh vegetables, salads and seasonal asparagus, such as fish, lighter cheeses and chicken, are in perfect harmony with this type of wine. Thus, we are preparing a special offer for the Egri Csillag Week at Macok, with dishes that will be paired with the Egri Csillag wines from several wineries."

This is what Katalin Tóth, representative of the Tóth Ferenc Winery had to say: „There are few wine regions where both white and red blends can be made in excellent quality. Eger is one of them. I think it is important to show the outstanding white wine potential of Eger through the Egri Csillag."

The maiden year of a series of events is always particularly exciting, as it is the time when both the organisers and the participants get to know the concept of the event. However, the fact that right after the announcement of the Egri Csillag Week so many people joined the project bodes well for the future. The new vintages will be premiered in many places, a number of restaurants will offer Egri Csillags by the glass, wine shops will assemble packages of Egri Csillag wines, and the wineries themselves will offer a wide range of tasting and shopping opportunities.
